How to register an account on Sallie Mae?
A personal account on Sallie Mae allows a borrower to get access to the loan, credit card account, or savings account. If your student loan implies the presence of a creditworthy cosigner, Sallie Mae requires both the borrower and co-signer to create their own accounts with separate IDs.
To register an account on Sallie Mae's website, you need to click on the 'Log In' button in the top right corner. The access or creation of an account is available to anyone of legal age or for underage students. An account can be created by the parent or legal guardian. Those users whose accounts were terminated by the company cannot register an account.
You need to enter the username and password. After you've done this, you will access the page with profile information. Fill in your Social Security Number, Primary Phone, Zip Code, Date of Birth, and Email Address. To activate your account, you will need to follow the link Sallie Mae sends you afterward.
In the instance you forgot your username, you can get it by entering filling in the information about your Social Security number and birthdate.
To change your password, you need to answer the security questions you filled in while registering. If you don't have security questions or simply don't know what to do, you can call Sallie Mae's customer support. It is available Monday through Friday from 8 am to 8 pm ET. You can also contact support via chat on their webpage.
