How to register an account?
Creating a card account on the Netspend site is decidedly uncomplicated. Before clicking on the "Sign-Up" button, a user is advised to assess all information regarding Netspend's current policies, packages, recent cardholder agreement changes, possible fraud prevention restrictions, and fees (including those related to fraud prevention restrictions, standard replacement card fee, fee schedule, additional transaction fees, etc.).
As a first step, the future cardholder is asked to provide their full name, e-mail, and physical address. Then, you're asked to pick a color for the future design of the card (this does not trigger a custom card fee) and come up with a user name and password. It can take some minutes for your application to receive an approval. After that, it's just a matter of entering the required information and logging into the online account center. The customer is then guided through the uncomplicated process of ordering your prepaid debit card. You will receive it in the span of 7-10 days.
In case you don't want to go through the signup process, you can purchase your debit card through third-party companies that were accredited to provide cards. Retail merchants commonly charge a fee in the range of $3 to $5.
How to Check Card Account Balance?
Your balance can be checked by logging into the Online Account Center. There, you will be able to see all the information regarding the current balance, money transfer transaction history, and other important data that you can easily export. You can also sign up for the text alert service in order to get notified whenever the balance changes after a transaction. Supplementary fees might be charged by your wireless carrier. You can also check your balance by ringing the Netspend Corporation hotline at +1 (866) 387-7363 or using an ATM.
How to Close Card Account?
Your card account can be closed once you withdraw all the funds from an ATM or spend all the funds. You may also ask Netspend to set you a check but you will have to pay a small fee for that. Alternatively, you may call Netspend at 1-866-387-7363 or select the close card account option in the Card Account Center.
