How to apply a personal loan?

Follow the steps below to apply for a personal loan:

  1. Visit the Eastwest Bank official website.

  2. Click on the three parallel lines on the website's top left-hand side.

  3. Under Personal online banking, click on Loansand then Personal loan.

  4. When the new page opens, click on Apply now.

  5. Fill out the application form and read the terms and conditions before proceeding.

  6. Make scanned copies of all the supporting documentation needed and upload them where necessary.

  7. Submit the online application form and wait for their confirmation.

Requirements for Eastwest Bank personal loans


To be eligible for an Eastwest Bank personal loan, applicants must:

  • Be a Filipino citizen or a foreign national who lives permanently in the Philippines.

  • Be at least 21 years old at the time of application and no more than 65 years old when the loan matures.

  • Have at least one permanent landline number (home or company) and a mobile number (a mobile phone number will not be recognized as a different contact number).

  • Have a mean (basic) monthly income (GMI) of at least ₱15,000 or an annual income of at least ₱180,000.

Documentary requirements

Fully completed Eastwest Bank online personal loan application form.

Photocopy of at least one valid digital format photo-bearing and signature-bearing I.D. authorized in the Philippines (i.e., driver's license, philippine identity card, professional regulation commission (PRC) ID card, SSS ID card, BIR ID card, voter's ID card, incorporated bar of the Philippines ID card, and unified SSS/GSIS and TIN ID card.). Company identification cards issued by private businesses or institutions registered with, controlled, or regulated by the BSP, SEC, or IC can also be provided.

(Only for foreign nationals). Any one of these proofs of residency: alien certificate of registration, immigrant certification of registration, or passport copy of resident visa stamp

Proof of income, which includes all of the following:

For employed applicants

  • Photocopy of the most recent ITR/BIR form 2316.
  • Photocopy of the most recent three months' pay slips.
  • Certificate of employment, stating salary, position, date employed, and ITR or pay slips.
  • Valid credit card reference or the most recent credit card statement of account.
  • Other documentation may be required for additional verification.

For self-employed applicants

  • Copy the most recent ITR/BIR form 1701 and audited financial statements.
  • SEC registration or DTI registration certificate (for sole proprietorship).
  • Certificate with a page listing the applicant's shares (for partnerships or corporations).
  • Permit for business.
  • Valid credit card information or the most recent credit card statement of account
  • Other documents, such as a Mayor's permit, may be required for further verification.

Loan release requirements
