The General Purpose Reloadable Card allows you to reload your funds whenever they run out. Still, there are fees associated with using the prepaid card. As a result, when deciding whether to apply for the card, keep the following benefits and drawbacks in mind. These includes:

Pros

  • You can withdraw a maximum of ₱50,000 at the ATM daily.
  • You can use the General Purpose Reloadable Card to pay at contactless POS up to ₱2,000.

Cons

  • You are charged ₱150 for the application, renewal, or replacement fee.
  • You are charged ₱20 for the loading fee, P1 for balance inquiry, and P10 for ATM withdrawal.
  • You are restricted when using the General Purpose Reloadable Card as you can only load ₱100-₱100,000, and the maximum amount you can withdraw from an ATM at one time is ₱ 100-₱ 10000.

How to apply for a LANDBANK General Purpose Reloadable Card

To apply for a LANDBANK General Purpose Reloadable Card, go to your local branch. Then, proceed as follows:

  1. Present your proof of identification at the branch, such as a valid passport or birth certificate and any other required documents. You may also be required to present your Alien Certificate of Registration if you are not a Filipino citizen (ACR).
  2. Request for the General Purpose Reloadable Card application form from the banking representative. 
  3. Fill out the form with accurate information to ensure that your GPR application proceeds smoothly. 
  4. Give the form and documents to the bank employee.
  5. Wait while they verify the validity of your documents. You will then be informed when to collect the General Purpose Reloadable Card.
