About credit card
The electronic debit card, which employs magnetic stripe technology and a PIN-based protocol, is only available to corporate accounts. A corporate account may be opened by organizations owned or controlled by the government, like line agencies, local government entities, respectable private businesses, cooperatives, partnerships, and associations.
Features
You can withdraw up to ₱50,000 daily from over 1400 ATMs across the country whenever you need money. Additionally, you can use the card at more than 14,000 BancNet ATMs nationwide to withdraw cash. The LANDBANK Cash Card is also useful for the following purposes:
- You can pay employee benefits, loans, pensions, salary, reimbursements, allowances, and bonuses.
- You can do business with other companies and individuals with an account with Land Bank of the Philippines or another bank.
- You can pay bills from your account online, at any branch, or an ATM.
- You can use the LANDBANK Cash Card to load your existing mobile phone.
- You can access a record of every transaction made on a given day. The log includes a specific transaction's date, sum, and purpose. It also contains details about customers' accounts, such as names, addresses, and account numbers.
Pros and cons
Although you cannot use the LANDBANK Cash Card for personal purposes, other aspects make it valuable for businesses. Instead of writing individual merchants a check, using the card makes it simple to make purchases and pay expenses like rent, water and electricity for your business. However, these features come at a cost. There are expenses associated with applying for, replacing, and reactivating a card. Therefore, the LANDBANK Cash Card's advantages and disadvantages include:
Pros
-
You do not require to pay any opening account fee as the LANDBANK Cash card is not used as an ATM savings account.
-
You are not required to keep funds in your account to avoid a levy charge if the balance falls below the requested limit.
-
You can make deposits and withdrawals over the counter, but only during regular banking hours.
-
You can use the electronic debit card for up to three years before it is subject to reactivation.
Cons
-
Your deposits are not insured by the Philippine Deposit Insurance (PDIC).
-
You can only pay for purchases up to ₱50,000 daily via point-of-sale (POS). However, you can access over 2000 accredited merchants.
-
You can only access a maximum of ₱100,000 per month in cash-in, deposit, or fund transfer (aggregate credits).
-
You will be charged fees such as ₱100 when applying for the card, ₱150 for replacement, and ₱50 for reactivation.
How to apply for a LANDBANK Cash Card
You will not need a link to redirect to online application to apply for the LANDBANK Cash card. Visit the Land Bank of the Philippines and fill out the enrollment form, just like when applying for a LANDBANK EMV-enabled Visa Debit Card or a LANDBANK e-Card. Then, attach a board resolution that shows the ability to open a bank account with LANDBANK, a list of the officers authorized to sign, the scope and nature of that authority that was duly notarized. Also, submit the charter, statutes, executive order, or departmental directive, creating the governing body for government entities. If it is a cooperative, submit the registration certificate issued by the Co-Operative Development Authority.
On the other hand, if it is a corporation, provide Articles of Incorporation, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Certificate of Registration, corporate by-laws, and a list of the signatories' two valid identification cards. Valid identity cards can be a Philippine Identification (PhilID) card, SSS ID, HMO ID, GSIS ID, driver's license, present company ID, membership cards of well-known clubs and associations, senior citizens card, or a passport. Then, pay ₱100 at the counter and hand in the Cash Card application form for approval to the cashier.
