Toronto-Dominion Bank offers a variety of account types. Whether you need an account to perform daily banking operations, save for the future, or pay in U.S. dollars, TD Bank has a solution for you.

  • Chequing accounts. TD Bank checking accounts are a good solution for day-to-day banking. You can use this type of account to deposit or withdraw money, pay bills, make purchases, or send money. The account options from TD Bank differ in terms of minimum balance requirements and perks included. Most TD checking accounts feature unlimited transactions per month included and free Interac e-Transfer® transactions.
  • Savings accounts. If you want to start saving, interest-bearing accounts from TD Bank might be a good option for you. Depending on your account balance, the annual percentage yield (APY) will range from 0.01% to 0.05%.
  • Student checking accounts. TD Bank offers checking accounts designed specifically for students and youth. Clients under years old can enjoy zero monthly fees with this type of account. Other attractive features of TD Bank Student accounts include an unlimited number of monthly transactions included, interest calculated on every dollar, zero fees on using Interac e-Transfer, and zero monthly fees on overdraft protection.
  • U.S. dollar accounts. Canadians who travel to the US frequently or work there can open a U.S. dollar account at TD bank. These accounts feature low to zero monthly fees and provide competitive exchange rates on U.S. dollars and other currencies. How to open an account?

You can open a TD Bank account of your choice online in as little as 5-10 minutes. You can do it in any of the following ways:

  • By clicking the “Open account” button on a page with an account description
  • Through your EasyWeb account (for existing clients)
  • Through the TD app (for existing clients)

Alternatively, you can visit your local TD Bank branch and apply to open an account in person.

Registering an EasyWeb online banking personal account is quick and easy. This opportunity is available for TD personal banking clients who are Canadian residents of 18+ years old.

To proceed with the registration, go to the Personal banking page and click on the “Register” link at the top right of the page. Next, specify if you already have a temporary password. If you don’t have it yet, click the “Register” button to resume your registration. If you have, you can click “Log in to EasyWeb” and sign in to your account.

If you’ve clicked the “Register” button on the previous step, you will see the eligibility criteria on the next screen. Below the eligibility criteria, you need to specify that you would like to set up a new EasyWeb Login ID and Password.

Next, select the “Access card” option and specify its number (if you have any). If you don't have an Access Card, select the banking product you have. Then, fill in your personal information — your first name, your last name, your date of birth, and your postal code. Once you do, click “Continue” to proceed.

On the next screen, you will see the Online Authentication terms. To agree with TD’s third-party identity authentication process, select the checkbox below and click the “Continue” button.

Next, specify the right answers to your multiple-choice Verification Questions. Once you do, click the “Continue” button.

On the next screen, you will see the TD Terms and Conditions. Select the checkbox below to agree to the Terms and Conditions and click “Continue” to proceed.

Next, create your username (it should consist of 8-25 characters, with at least one letter), specify your email, and create your password (it should consist of 8-32 characters, with at least one letter and one number). Then, click “Continue” to proceed.

Finally, review your information and click the “Continue” button to finish your registration. After that, you will see a confirmation message saying that you can access your accounts using one username and password.

EasyWeb provides a convenient way to keep track of your finances in real-time. Some of the most useful EasyWeb features include:

  • Paying bills online
  • Setting up recurring bill payments
  • Managing the scheduled payments and canceling payments as needed
  • Transferring funds between your TD accounts
  • Setting up direct deposit to have funds deposited directly into your TD account
  • Sending money instantly through Interac e-Transfer® across Canada and internationally
  • Viewing your account statement at any time


To open an account online, you must be the age of majority in your province or territory of residence.

How often do interest rates on savings accounts change?

Interest rates are subject to change at any time without notice. Be sure to check the current rates either on the TD Bank website or at your local branch.

How can I change my password?

To change your EasyWeb password, log in to your EasyWeb account, click on your name in the top navigation menu, and select the “Password & Security” option.

Next to the “Password” section, you will see the “Edit” icon. Click on it. Next, enter your current password, then enter a new password (it should consist of 8-32 characters, with at least one letter and one number). Confirm your new password and click the “Done” button.

How to sign into my account?

You can log into your EasyWeb account from any page of the TD website. In the upper right part of the screen, you will see the "Login" link. Hover your mouse over it (or tap it if you are browsing the site from the mobile web) and select “EasyWeb”. Then, enter your username and password to sign in.

How do I restore the forgotten password?

If you forgot your EasyWeb password, you could always reset it. Click on the “Forgot your username or password?” link below the username and password fields on the authentication page. On the next screen, click the “I forgot my password” button. Next, enter your username or access card number, and follow the further instructions from the system.

How do I transfer money between my TD bank accounts through EasyWeb?

To transfer funds between your TD bank accounts, log in to your EasyWeb account, go to the “My accounts” page and select the “Transfers” option from the left menu. Then, select the account you want to transfer money from. Next, select the account you want to transfer money to. Enter the amount you want to transfer, click the “Next” button and review the money transfer details. If everything is correct, click the “Finish” button to complete the transfer.
