How to download the Synergy mobile app

Synergy Credit Union mobile application is free for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad through App Store or Android smartphones through Google Play. 

For iPhone users:

  1. Using your iPhone, type in the App Store search bar «SynergyCU Mobile.» 

  2. Select the app icon and verify that the app's author is Synergy Credit Union Ltd. 

  3. Tap the icon marked «Free,» then tap again when it changes to «Install.» 

  4. The app will begin installing. Press the «Open» button in the App Store, or find it on your home screen and tap to open.  

For Android Users:

  1. Using your Android phone, tap the search icon and type in the search bar «SynergyCU Mobile» in Google Play. 

  2. Select the app icon and verify that the app's author is Synergy Credit Union. 

  3. Tap the icon marked «Install,» then tap «Accept» on the next screen. 

  4. The app will begin installing. Press the «Open» button in Google Play, or find it on your home screen and tap to open. 

iPhone and iPod touch requires iOS 13.0 or later.

iPad requires iPadOS 13.0 or later.

Android devices require Android 6.0 or later. 

How to use the Synergy mobile app

Download the Synergy CU mobile app from the App Store or Google Play, open the app, touch «Sign in,» and enter your username and password. 

If you're not a member, join Synergy credit union and sign into your digital banking account for the first time:

  1. Visit the Synergy official website. Then, click «Sign in» on the top of the page. 

  2. Input your Member Card debit card number.

  3. Enter your date of birth and mobile phone number or email address.

  4. Receive and enter a one-time code. 

  5. Create a new username.

  6. Create and repeat a new password. 

  7. Confirm details and click «Create user profile.»

  8. A user profile is successfully created. Tap «Proceed to sign in.» 

If your device allows, you may sign in with your username and password or FaceID/ Touch ID. 


With Synergy CU Mobile App, you could:

  • Consolidate and customize business and personal accounts

  • Set up favorite transactions

  • Pay bills

  • Set up recurring payments and transfers

  • Transfer funds

  • Send, receive and request Interac e-Transfers 

  • View accounts history and eStatements 

  • Deposit cheques 

  • Manage alerts

  • Set up Autodeposit

  • Open new accounts

How to apply for a loan in the Synergy mobile app?

You can't apply for a Synergy CU loan or line of credit online. Instead, book an appointment with an expert online, call 1-306-825-3301 or visit any branch. Use the «Find Us» feature on the mobile app to find the list of branches and their business hours.

How to extend a loan in the Synergy mobile app?

The Synergy CU offers loans with no prepayment penalties and a choice of blended (principal plus interest) or interest-only payment option. 

To meet with an expert to find the most suitable borrowing solution, visit the nearest branch, call the Member Contact Centre at 1-306-825-3301 (local) or 1-866-825-3301 (toll-free) or select «Contact Us» on the mobile app. 

To make an extra principal-only payment using the mobile app:

  1. Log in to Digital banking on the app.

  2. Tap the menu icon, then «Transfers». 

  3. Select «Transfer funds.» 

  4. Choose the account you want to transfer the funds to.

  5. Enter the amount.

  6. Select the loan account on which you wish to make a payment from the drop-down menu under «Transfer to.» 

  7. You can also set up recurring payments or schedule future payments.

How to pay in the Synergy mobile app?

Synergy Credit Union mobile app is made to make payments and transfers, pay bills, send Interac e-Transfers, set up recurring payments and transfers, manage payees, and use Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and Apple Pay.

To pay bills, select the “Pay bills” button.

To make transfers and add a favorite transaction:

  1. First, open the app, tap the menu icon and select «Transfers».

  2. Then, tap «Transfer Funds.» 

  3. Select the account to transfer from and transfer to from the dropdown or select another Synergy member and enter the account number. 

  4. Input the amount. 

  5. Choose the transfer type (immediate, scheduled, recurring). 

  6. Enter a memo (optional). Select «Continue.»

  7. Review the details and select «Continue.» 

  8. Click the favorites icon (heart with plus [+] symbol). 

  9. Enter your favorite name. Click «Confirm» and «Done.» 

How to restore access to the Synergy mobile app?

If you forget your username:

  1. Open the app. 

  2. Touch «Sign in.» 

  3. Tap «Sign in with a different user» (if you have previously used the app to sign in), or proceed to step 4.

  4. Touch «Forgot username?». 

  5. Select the identification method. 

  6. Enter either your mobile phone or email address. 

  7. Enter the one-time passcode sent to your email or mobile phone. 

  8. Select the username.

  9. Enter your password.

  10. A message containing your username is sent to your email or mobile phone. 

  11. Touch «Continue to login» to sign onto the app. 

If you forget your password: 

  1. Open the app. 

  2. Touch «Sign in.» 

  3. Touch «Forgot username or password?». 

  4. Touch «Reset password.»

  5. Enter your username and select your identification method: email address or mobile phone number used in enrolment. It should match the data on your file. 

  6. Enter the phone number or email address. 

  7. Receive and enter a one-time authentication code.

  8. Create and confirm a new password. 

  9. You will be transferred to the sign-in page. 

If you have problems logging in, contact Synergy through live chat or call Member Contact Centre at 1.866.825.3301 to recover your password or username. Call 1-800-574-7221 for after-hours assistance.

How to delete the Synergy mobile app?

To delete the app from your mobile device, go to App Store or Google Play, choose the application and click «Uninstall.» Unfortunately, your data can't be deleted. To delete your account, contact Synergy Credit Union.
