Clients of Royal Bank of Canada are welcome to enroll in RBC Online Banking. With an online banking account, you can check your balances, transfer funds, send money, pay your bills, and much more — whenever it’s convenient for you.

How to open an account?

You can sign up for RBC Online Banking by selecting the “Enroll now” option in the “Sign In” box on its website. Alternatively, you can enroll in RBC Online Banking by phone (applicable for business clients) or in-person, by visiting one of your local RBC branches.

To sign in to RBC Online Banking, you will need to enter your Client Card number (or username) and password. If you have a username already, use it to sign in.

Requirements

Depending on what type of client you are, the assets required to enroll will be different:

  • Personal banking clients need an RBC Royal Bank Client Card or credit card to enroll

  • Automotive finance, mortgage, credit line, Homeline plan, loan, or investment clients need an account number and transit number to enroll

  • Corporate clients need an RBC Royal Bank Business Client Card to enroll their business account for online banking

FAQ

How to reset a forgotten password?

If you have forgotten your online banking password, you can always reset it. Click the “Reset your password” link on the Online Banking Sign-In page and follow instructions from the system.

How to delete an account?

RBC doesn’t provide information on account deletion. Reach out to their support team for additional information on this matter: 1-800-769-2555.

What to pay attention to when applying for a loan from Royal Bank of Canada

  1. The company must have a license if it runs business in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec.
  2. You can check the availability of the relevant license (copy) at the branch of the lending company.
