There is HSBC Mobile banking — a mobile app for personal banking, HSBC Fusion Canada App for personal and small business accounts, and HSBCnet Mobile — an app for business banking.

How to download?

HSBC Mobile Banking application is available for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch through App Store or for Android through Google Play.

HSBC Fusion Canada App works with iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. Requires iOS 12.2 and later, Android 6.0 and later.

How to use?

  • Download the HSBC Canada Mobile Banking app from the App Store or Google Play, and then log on with your Online Banking username and your Digital Security Device password. You can also log on with a face/fingerprint ID on a supported mobile device. You can register through the mobile app if you're new to online banking.

  • Download the Fusion Canada App, follow the steps, and provide your account number. Log on with the same Online banking username and password you use for your personal banking. You will link your accounts together.

  • For HSBCnet or HSBCnet Mobile, you’ll receive a welcome email once your account is open. Your temporary password and HSBCnet account activation instructions are included. Download the app or log on to an online account at the computer and follow the steps.


HSBC Mobile Banking app allows you to:

  • View account balances of your local and globally-linked banking, credit card, mutual fund, and RRSP accounts

  • Pay bills

  • Send and receive money: make local and foreign currency transfers; send money with INTERAC e-Transfer using your mobile number or email

  • View the history of transactions

  • Deposit your cheques by taking a picture of them with the app

  • Send HSBC a secure message, chat, request a call, or use the virtual assistant

  • Change account details, review banking documents

How to apply for a loan in the HSBC mobile app?

Manage your financial situation via the HSBC Mobile Banking app. Locate the Loans tab in the app and apply online; the HSBC loan expert will contact you within two business days. Other options are to call at +1-888-310-4722 or visit the local branch. 

How to extend a loan in the HSBC mobile app?

You can manage your payments via the HSBC Mobile Banking app. After you have made your first repayment, you can change the monthly repayment date if you ask in advance. HSBC will not be able to change your next repayment date, and it will change all subsequent repayment dates. You can only change the date twice in any 12 months. Changing the repayment date will not take effect on the amount of interest on the loan.

How to pay via the HSBC mobile app?

HSBC Bank Canada allows you to pay as you want: make payments online, by telephone, mobile banking, ATM, credit card, Apple Pay or visit the nearest branch. Your HSBC Mobile Banking app allows you to do it by locating the necessary tabs.

How to restore access to an HSBC app?

To reset your HSBC Mobile Banking password:

  1. Launch the HSBC Canada Mobile Banking app and select Forgot your Digital Security Device password?

  2. Answer your security question and select Continue. If you can’t remember it, call Customer Service at 1-877-621-8811.

  3. Select how you would like to receive your password reset number and select Send number.

  4. Enter your number and select Continue.

  5. Create and confirm your new Digital Security Device password, and select Reset password. To reset your HSBC Fusion Canada app logon PIN follow the steps:

  1. Once you enter an incorrect PIN 5 times, you’ll receive an error message, and the app will prompt you to reset your PIN.

  2. Select Forgot your PIN? 

  3. Follow the instructions to reset your password. If you initially registered on the app using your online banking details, you need to enter it and select Continue.

  4. You’ll receive an SMS with an activation code. The SMS will be sent to the phone number you’ve provided. 

  5. Enter the code and create a new 6-digit PIN.

  6. Confirm the PIN. 

  7. Once confirmed, you will see a PIN reset complete message.

How to delete the app?

To delete the mobile app, go to App Store or Google Play, choose the application, and click «Uninstall.» Your data won't vanish.
