Types of Canadian Tire Bank credit cards

  1. Triangle Mastercard® lets you collect Canadian Tire Money with no annual fee and minimum income requirements. Earn 1.5% back in Canadian Tire Money at grocery stores and 0.5% on other purchases. Collect 5¢ per liter in CT Money at Gas+.

  2. Triangle World Elite Mastercard could be getting an upgrade to Triangle Mastercard. It allows you to earn more CT Money faster still without a fee. Collect 3% back at grocery stores, 1% on other purchases and 7¢ per liter on premium fuel, and 5¢ per liter on all other fuel types when you fill up at Gas+ and Essence+ locations.

It also provides extended warranty insurance and protection for most items in the event of loss, damage, or theft within 90 days of purchase, car rental collision/loss damage waiver insurance, Roadside assistance Gold Plan and personal 24/7 concierge services. 

With Triangle Mastercard and Triangle World Elite Mastercard, you earn 4% back in CT Money and redeem it in any suitable location as 1 CT Money dollar = $1 CAD. There is no limit. 

  1. Canadian Tire Bank Gas Advantage Mastercard® for drivers lets you save up to 10¢/litre on gas at Canadian Tire gas bars. Your discount depends on the sum of your purchases on the card: from 2¢ to 10¢/litre.

  2. Canadian Tire Bank Cash Advantage Mastercard® gives up to 3% cash back at Canadian Tire stores, Canadian Tire gas bars, and Marks, 1.5% on all your eligible purchases. Cashback is automatically applied to your account annually, without a limit.

The annual Interest rate is 19.99%, and Cash transactions and related fees – are 22.99%. 

With all credit cards, you may get a no annual fee and no interest financing on qualifying purchases over $150 at participating stores. In addition, you may obtain a no-receipt easy return.  

Other fees could be charged: Non-Sufficient Funds fee of $25, cash advance fee of $4, foreign transaction conversion rate, and others. 

You may get optional Triangle Credit Protector Life & Disability insurance for all credit cards. It is available for Primary Cardmembers residents of Canada aged 18 to 76.

How to apply for a Canadian Tire Bank credit card?

To apply for a CTFS credit card online:

  1. Visit the official site and click «Apply» under a needed product.

  2. Review the conditions and click «Agree».

  3. Provide your personal information, date of birth, email address, phone number, and SIN number. 

  4. Enter your current residential address. 

  5. Fill out your employment status and personal and annual household income. 

  6. Choose if you would like to receive your statements by mail or paperless, enter your Triangle Rewards Account Number or get one, and add the other card members if needed. 

  7. You may add Triangle Credit Protector Life & Disability. 

  8. Review and submit your application. 

  9. If approved, your Canadian Tire credit card will arrive in the mail within the next six weeks.

To apply in-store, visit any Canadian Tire, Sport Chek, Mark’s, L’Équipeur, Atmosphere, or participating Sports Experts locations. In Canadian Tire stores, find a Field Marketing Representative or Customer Service to fill out an application. In Canadian Tire gas bars: visit Customer Service.

To be eligible for a Canadian Tire credit card, you should:

  • Be a Canadian resident 

  • Be the age of majority in your province or territory 

  • Have a valid SIN

To be eligible for Triangle World Elite Mastercard, you should have a minimum of $80,000 annual or $150,000 household income and apply online.
